A slim and elegant vintage Seiko tank from the late 1970s — one of the most classically proportioned case shapes in watchmaking, and Seiko executed it beautifully here. The champagne dial with slim asymmetric baton markers has a quiet, almost architectural quality, and the rectangular case gives it that timeless dress watch silhouette that never goes out of style. Nearly 50 years old and still running.
Worth noting: the case back is SGP — gold-plated over stainless steel, a step above the base metal construction found on many vintage Seikos of this era.
At 17mm this is a delicate, refined piece suited for smaller wrists or collectors who appreciate true vintage proportions. The dial is clean and the watch runs well. That said, the gold plating on the case shows significant wear at the corners and edges, with the silver base metal showing through in several spots. The crystal has light surface scratches, and the expansion bracelet is an aftermarket replacement — not original to the watch. All disclosed and priced accordingly.
