The dial on this vintage Seiko is something special — a two-tier champagne design featuring a raised guilloché-textured center disc surrounded by a smooth outer ring with slim baton hour markers. It’s a quietly sophisticated detail that gives this otherwise understated watch a genuinely refined, almost Swiss-inspired character. Paired with a fresh black lizard-grain leather strap, the contrast between warm gold and dark leather is sharp and elegant.
At 25mm it wears as a true dress piece, slim and refined on the wrist. The new aftermarket strap breathes fresh life into the watch and is already installed and ready to wear.
The dial is clean and the guilloché detailing is intact and beautiful. The crystal has light surface scratches. The case shows significant gold-tone wear and corrosion at the lugs and sides, and the case back has heavy surface scratching — these are the honest tradeoffs of a nearly 30-year-old piece, fully disclosed and reflected in the price.
